Online booking is only available at this time for current clients for 2:1 sessions.

When are you available?

Where are your sessions located?

Strive Rehab is located at Body Compass, 40 Morrow Street, Wagga Wagga.
Hydrotherapy sessions are provided at Oasis Aquatic Centre, Wagga Wagga.

If you would like to meet at another location, please contact Sonia to discuss this.

What should I wear?

Make sure to wear comfortable clothes that you can move well in. Stretchy clothes that allow for movement, and clothes that are form-fitting to allow for biomechanical assessment, are best. Also be sure to wear practical, safe shoe wear. Depending on treatment, a towel for privacy may be required and will be provided.

What are your fees?

Each individual will have their own personal skilled assessment performed by Sonia. Please contact her directly to discuss your current condition and concerns and she will be able to provide you with costings associated directly with your treatment requirements.

What is Pilates Rehab?

Sonia utilises Pilates Rehab in her physiotherapy exercise programs. Pilates is a safe, gentle, naturally progressive technique using both the mat and studio equipment. Developed by Joseph Pilates, it is based on principles which include: Breath, Concentration, Centering, Control, Precision, and Flow.

Pilates is a wonderful rehabilitative exercise in that it is a naturally progressive technique, with a wide repertoire of exercises that can support you early in your rehabilitation and build to more dynamic exercises that require balance and complex motor control; and, it has added benefits of mindfulness.

Do I need an ‘initial assessment’?

Yes, every client at Strive Rehab requires an Initial Assessment upon first visit. You may also require an additional “Initial Assessment” if you are an existing client, and are presenting with a new condition. In order to attend Group Exercise, a 2:1 session, or Hydrotherapy, you must have had an Initial Assessment completed prior to attending, as it is paramount that your condition is fully understood.

Can you come to me?

Yes! Strive Rehab is available to come to you via Home Visits and/or Community Access Sessions (i.e. meeting you at Wagga Beach for outdoor mobility for example). Please note that at this time Home Visits & Community Sessions are within Wagga Wagga only, and incur an extra cost to cover travel time.

What’s a semi-private or 2:1?

Semi-Privates are sessions completed in a “Duet” (2:1) form, meaning that Sonia will be working with you and 1 other client at the same time. These sessions are typically recommended for stable conditions, and only if you are comfortable to be exercising alongside others.

Why Strive Rehab?

Sonia is passionately dedicated to your recovery and a safe return to the things that you love. Having experienced the rehabilitation process for her own injuries, surgeries, and autoimmune conditions, she can relate to the frustration and challenge of returning to moving well. She relies on her empathy and expertise that comes from nearly 15 years of working as a rehabilitation physiotherapist. She began Strive Rehab with the goal to create an integrated approach to wellness that helps you recover well, find relief, have access to education regarding your condition, and build prevention skills for living well into the future.

Do you accept insurance, like Private Health or NDIS?

Yes, Strive Rehab works with clients with a variety of health insurance coverage. If you are self-funded with the NDIS you can access Strive Rehab directly. If you are plan-managed, please discuss with your plan manager. If you have Private Health, Strive Rehab has HICAPS for immediate claiming. Please note for Group Exercise Classes and 2:1 sessions (if paid in a 5-pass or 10-pass), payment is made up front and claiming can only be completed at the end of your group exercise block — this is because Private Health must have dates of attendance on file in order to process your claim. We also see clients with Medicare chronic disease management plans - please speak to your GP about accessing Strive Rehab for physiotherapy sessions, as you must have this plan prior to attending to access the rebate.
