Group Exercise

 

Research shows that Group Exercise can provide physical, mental, and emotional benefits contributing to improved overall wellbeing.

2:1 Physio-led Pilates Rehab Classes are offered year-round.

Other Group Exercise Class offerings are variable throughout the year.

All clients attending Group Therapy Exercise must have had an Initial Assessment completed prior to attending Group Exercise to assure your safety, and so that each class is tailored to your specific needs in the Group setting. New Clients who would like to participate in Group Exercise only can be seen for a Short Initial Physiotherapy Assessment — a Screening Pre-Assessment. This brief initial assessment is designed to assess those who wish to attend either 2:1 Pilates Rehab Physio-led Exercise or Group Exercise Classes only (please see note below if you are a New Client preferring/requiring ongoing 1:1 therapy).

Group Classes are for only those with stable conditions, those who wish to optimise their health, and who are exercising for prevention of disease. If you require more tailored exercise, you will likely benefit from 2:1 Pilates Rehab Physio Exercise sessions, as these classes are smaller and more able to suit your needs and stage of rehabilitation.

Group Class offerings of up to 8 people are intended for people with stable conditions as, due to the size of class, modifications to exercises are limited. Group Classes of up to 8 people are booked via email below. All group classes are run by Sonia McMullen, PT, DPT.

If you are a New Client and wish to book a Standard (45’) or Extended (60’+) Initial Assessment to treat an acute condition or diagnosis, have complex needs, or require 1:1 ongoing therapy, please email admin@striverehab.com.au.
