Initial Assessment

Positive outcomes can only come from a true understanding
of the root cause through
skilled assessment.

Beyond an objective assessment, it’s also important to get to know you and your goals.

Every client at Strive Rehab in Wagga Wagga receives a thorough initial assessment by
skilled physiotherapist Sonia McMullen, PT, DPT.

Through evidence-based assessment tools and techniques specific to your condition, and relying on 16 years of experience, Sonia can quickly identify the cause of movement dysfunction in order to target treatment for best results.

Initial assessments are focused on a discussion of your concerns and your goals, a skilled physiotherapy assessment, and wellness screen. At follow-up appointments, you will begin your supervised rehabilitation program that has been created specifically for you, and begin your tailored home exercise program. Often, further assessment and goal discussion is required in follow-up appointments. Sonia aims to begin education regarding your condition as early as your first appointment.

Initial appointments are offered as follows:

  • Standard Initial Assessments (45’)

  • Short Initial Assessments (30’) are for the purpose of a Pre-Assessment to attend Group Exercise Only.
Please visit our Group Exercise page for more information

  • Speciality Assessments (Neurological, Amputee, Vestibular etc) (60’)

  • If your condition is complex, and you require 60+ minutes, we do provide extended sessions - just ask
