We are thrilled to welcome you to this Two-Part Speaker Series,
tailored to women in their mid-30s to late 50s.
Age isn't an absolute, however, and women of all ages can benefit.
If you want to feel better but don't know how; or, want to age as well as you can, this Speaker Series is for you.
We hope you can join us!
You’ll take away a better understanding of your body’s changes in midlife, and learn healthy, achievable, sustainable habits that can help you feel strong and energetic now, and protect your body against disease and aging in the future.
Introducing Our Speakers
Sonia McMullen, Physiotherapist, DPT
Strive Rehab Physiotherapy
Sonia holds a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Northwestern University (Chicago, IL USA) in 2007. She deepened her understanding of human movement through her Pilates study, completing the internationally recognised Polestar® Pilates Studio/Rehab Comprehensive Training in 2022. She has been a physio for 16 years, and opened Strive Rehab in 2021. She enjoys working with in-person clients in Wagga Wagga and clients via telehealth across Australia.
Sonia is passionate about helping women achieve wellness. She enjoys providing support to women as they navigate health conditions and move through the stages of life. Sonia strives to educate her clients to help them understand their bodies, and her hope is that all women gain the power of investing in - and prioritising - their health. This inaugural Speaker Series brings together professionals in one special event for this purpose – with the aim that you can learn everyday habits to achieve wellness through a whole-body approach.
Sonia enjoys spending time with her husband and three young children, friends and family that fill her cup, exploring nature and traveling, lounging with a good book or film, and staying active to feel good in body (and keep up with her busy kids)!

Katrina Brown
Katrina Brown Nutrition
Nutrition Maven, Healthy Food Enthusiast, and Health Advocate, is based in Wagga Wagga NSW but enjoy working with businesses and clients throughout the Riverina MIA and beyond.
With a deep-rooted passion for natural whole food and nutrition education, Katrina aims to help you achieve health goals that last. Her approach is personalised and integrative, drawing from her extensive Health Science and Tourism background. Sessions with Katrina Brown Nutrition pave the way for lasting vitality.
Beyond work, Katrina relishes family time, outdoor adventures, and delicious food with loved ones – often accompanied by good laughs and a glass of red wine.

Lauren Darley-Bentley, Clinical EFT Practitioner
Soul Tapping Therapy
Lauren is a certified Clinical EFT Practitioner. She uses Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT, or ‘tapping’), an evidence-based, mind-body technique that combines acupuncture and psychology, to help individuals with anxiety, depression, trauma, phobias, food cravings, low self-esteem, low body image and relationship issues find relief.
Lauren has also led sessions on emotional awareness and regulation in workplaces, schools and youth detention; and teaches women how to decode their emotions and self-regulate, through her program, “Emotional Fitness”.
Lauren sees mind-body approaches as our way forward in healing ourselves and our world. She imagines a world where everyone understands their emotions, takes responsibility for their own healing, and can regulate themselves rather than reacting and living destructively.
Prior to becoming a therapist, Lauren had a career in social justice addressing poverty and preventing violence against women. With a degree in Political and International Studies, she has worked for the Australian government, non-profit and women’s rights organisations.
In this Speaker Series, Lauren will:
share why we should reclaim ‘midlife’ as the phase of the wise woman
explain how emotional awareness can support you during menopause
show the connection between your emotions and physical health
help you identify the beliefs in the way of your emotional health
explain how EFT works and why it is considered a powerful tool for emotional regulation
show you how to use EFT to change your beliefs and help ride the emotional rollercoaster of midlife
Deanna Austin, Pilates Instructor
ReAlign Pilates
Deanna holds a Bachelor of Human Movement and Health degree, and went on to complete her Pilates degree through the Australian Pilates Method Association. She has had her own Pilates Studio in Wagga Wagga for over 14 years. She is a constant learner, and this curiosity has led Deanna to continually seek out further training in all areas of health and wellbeing, including fascial manipulation and functional neuroscience. Understanding how the brain and body connect is a major source of fascination, and with it brings a commitment to help her clients connect better with all their body systems.
In her free time, she loves trail running, travelling, reading and appreciating all that living life to the full brings!
In this Speaker Series, Deanna will share:
Restoring confidence in your body - learning how to modify movement to suit you, and when & how to push forward
“Cross training” – Why our bodies need variety for optimal wellness
How to set goals and steadily chip away at them to see real change
Practical tools & simple exercise habits that you can start tomorrow (that don’t require fancy equipment or tons of time!)
Learn how to think holistically about your health, to build a life that sustains and celebrates you to achieve true wellness
One ticket purchases the Speaker Series (i.e. entry to both evenings).
Tickets are non-refundable, however in the event you are unable to attend one/both evening(s), you’re welcome to pass your ticket on to a loved one.
